Day 4 with Angel...

Angel awoke two times last night crying but quieted quickly when I rubbed her belly and assured her I was there. Hopefully she sleeps more peacefully tonight. She should since she only took a 45 minute nap today, just before lunch even. She was a bit of a pistol this evening because she was so tired.

We were to have a free day today so we ventured out this morning to see Daming Lake and well, let's just say we weren't quite prepared for it to be as cold as it was. We knew it was a bit windy from looking outside but after it being in the 80's yesterday - it was like being back home. So we ran back up to grab jackets for us and a hat for Angel, and even with that it wasn't quite enough. So we put Angel's legs inside daddy's jacket to keep her warm and made a quick pass through a portion of the garden area, as you see can see in the pictures, it's quite beautiful. I wish it had been nicer so we could have enjoyed it and seen more. Angel fell asleep about midway through so we finished up, flagged down a taxi and headed back to the hotel.

We had hoped to venture out a little more in the afternoon but Angel is not a big fan of the wind in her face so we decided to stay in. Good thing we did because we were supposed to get Angel's China passport tomorrow morning but got a call from our guide, Susan, at about 3pm that it was ready to be picked up today and we were to meet her in the lobby immediately. So on we went to sign the final paper and pick it up; we are now finished with all paperwork that needs to be done here in Jinan. With some free time in the morning, I'm hoping we can get to the park nearby that has a natural spring before we leave at 2pm to catch our flight to Guangzhou, hoping it's not too chilly.
