Birthday's, Ball Game and Easter Firsts!!!

Angel had a lot of firsts this past week.

We celebrated Michiael's 10th and Kailey's 6th birthdays on Wednesday. We went out to dinner at Pizza Ranch, the kid's choice, which was another first for Angel. That is the first time we have eaten out at a "sit down" restaurant since we've been home with her. At the end of our meal one of the employees brought each of them a bundle of birthday balloons and took their picture to hang on their bulletin board. They each were also given a small dessert pizza - very yummy but more than we needed since we had birthday cake at home too. Then we had a few friends over for a quick cake and ice cream party. In all it was a good day. Hard to believe our oldest is now to double digits.

Saturday Jason took the boys and Angel to an Easter egg hunt at the elementary school, Kailey and I had softball pictures. Jason said he tried to put Angle down but it was on stones and she wasn't liking it so she did not hunt for eggs. She is not a fan of grass or stones but we are making progress on the grass. Around noon I took the kids, while Angel was napping, to another big egg hunt held by a friend - the kids made out with lots of candy and some change. They had a great time.

That afternoon Logan had his first baseball game, another first for Angel. It was the perfect weather for it too, sunny and 60. Logan and his team played a great game, it was fun to watch. Angel made friends with a little boy during the game. At first the little boy wanted nothing to do with her. She'd walk up to him and try to take his hand but he'd run to his daddy. So very cute. He warmed up to her and by the end they were playing with a mini football and his mommy even shared an extra fruit snack pack with her. She attempted to go back for more when hers were gone.

That evening Kailey had a first, she lost her first tooth. She was so very excited.
She kept playing with it at the ball field and it was so ready to come out but she wouldn't let her daddy do it, she wanted her pre-K teacher from last year to do it. So I got on the phone to see if she was home. Just before dinner then Kailey and I took a trip over to her house to have it pulled. One pull and it was out. Check out the picture page for her toothless grin! So she made out with a visit from the tooth fairy and Easter bunny.

Easter Sunday we got ready for Sunday school & church and the kids went through their Easter baskets (new Pj's and candy for each and the Bolt movie for all). Our church service was beautiful, the choir and mini-orchestra were wonderful. In the afternoon, Jason and I worked on some some outdoor projects while the kids flew kites and played with bubbles.

We are now to the start of another week. Jason has a birthday this week and we hope to get started on our garden. Hopefully the weather permits. This whole garden thing should be quite the experience since we've never done it before. Hopefully our neighbors can lend us some tips - they have a big one.

HOpe you all have a wonderful week full of God's graces.
